Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The celebrated game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
