Loyal supporters of the pop star are urging that a person who breached a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
